• Device data: device type, operating system version, and app version.
• Location data: approximate location (city/region) when you search for nearby gyms, only with your permission.

We use the information we collect to:

• Create and maintain your account and provide the Service.
• Display your climb logs, progress, and activity feed to you and your followers.
• Connect you with climbing partners and show you scheduled sessions from people you follow.
• Improve, personalize, and expand the Service.

• Send product updates and announcements, which you may opt out of at any time.

• With other users: your public profile, climb logs marked public, and scheduled sessions marked public are visible to other Scando users and people you follow.
• Service providers: we use Supabase for database and authentication services. These providers are contractually bound to protect your data and may not use it for their own purposes.
• Legal requirements: we may disclose your information if required by law, subpoena, or other legal process, or if we believe disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, your safety, or the safety of others.
• Business transfers: in the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of all or substantially all of our assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you before your data is transferred and becomes subject to a different privacy policy.

4. Data Retention

We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. We will delete your data within 30 days of a verified deletion request, except where retention is required by law.

If we become aware that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, we will delete it promptly.
